Transport Purchasing
Transport purchasing contains analysis of current transport agreements, RFI and RFQ support, evaluation and negotiation of new agreements. The service is automatically available through the service transport administration but is also available as a separate service.
UnitedLog Supply Chain Services obtains present transport agreements and delivery statistics on high and detailed shipments level from the customers and forwarders system. We also collect information through interviews in order to get a picture of the information and goods flow. The statistics is transferred to and analysed in the Supply Chain Services TPA tool. The analysis includes shipment structure, present costs and geographical structure. If you already are a customer this is a part of our ongoing negotiations and in these cases the information is retrieved from our own systems.
UnitedLog Supply Chain Services evaluates present set ups through the tools Route LogiX, CAST, Arena and investigates whether it is possible to improve the current set up. We also have a Best practice model based on standardised checklists providing a trustworthy picture of the level of the supplier. This result is compared to results from the Establish Davis BenchmarkTM and results from previous evaluations of forwarders and 3PL and 4 PL´s.
We makes a specification of demands together with the customer and send out ut RFI´s and the RFQ´s to forwarders.
