Introduction to September's newsletter
Currently we are taking several different steps in the direction of strengthening the position, offering and organization of United Logistics Group. As part of this effort, we have recently employed two new members of the United Logistics management team: Per-Arne Svensson, General Manager Establish, and Ulf Holmström, General Manager United Operations. A more thorough introduction is included in this newsletter, and I’m sure their long experience and solid background with large customers, supply chain management and international logistics will make a significant contribution to our group activities.

During the spring and summer we have also spent considerable time on putting together all the different Supply Chain competencies and offerings of United Logistics into a unified service offering, the Demand Chain Control Center (DCC). DCC is our concept for a “Best-in-Class Supply Chain” and is built on the strengths that United Logistics Group brings together: strategy consulting, change management, information solutions and 4PL. You will hear a lot more of this during the fall.
One of our successful ongoing projects, described in this Newsletter, involves Ericsson Distribution Logistics. Some time ago Ericsson chose United Solutions’ information hub DCIX with functions for Reports & Analysis to control enormous amounts of logistics data. The solution has since then been developed into a comprehensive Performance Management Tool supporting Ericsson’s existing and future business models with their logistics suppliers.
A lot of our projects are international and I’m glad to say that our expansion is continuing smoothly in our four international offices, including China. We also have additional offices in the pipeline. Already at this point, a substantial level of our business is coming from international projects.
Now, with so many exciting things in progress, let’s look forward to a range of stimulating and rewarding activities this fall.
