Introduction to this newsletter
After some time of bringing organizations, cultures, processes, systems, methods and languages together in one global company, we can now see the effects of working as an integrated group where everyone brings their special competence to the team.
That’s why, as we continue our work in 2008, we are ready to take on the challenges in another way than before – meeting our customers’ different needs with a much broader offer.
There are interesting changes happening, in business in general and in our industry in particular, that will impact where and how we operate and create new possibilities and challenges.
|
Sustainable Supply Chain, often called Green Logistics, is one of these new trends. We believe that a Sustainable Supply Chain is synonymous with an efficient Supply Chain and thus is not only important for the environment, but also “good business”.
The emerging markets, consisting of 70 percent of the world’s population, are growing fast and constitute important markets for any global business in the future. Something many companies miss out on.
United Logistics has an office in Shanghai, China and will during 2008 open a new office in Moscow, Russia, to take on the Supply Chain challenges and opportunities on a fast growing market. We are very excited about that!
With this Newsletter, we hope to give you the inspiration you need
to make the most of your logistics year of 2008.

CEO United Logistics Group
